Screw earrings are an excellent way to really finish of a look in a big way. They’re a bold fashion statement that few can pull off, and if you’re one of the select few to be able to do so, then count yourself lucky. See, what’s unique about these types of ear jewelry and sets them apart from other types like tribal, studs, and hoops, is the fact that they just scream out that a lot of thought was put into them. Do you understand what I mean by this? Maybe not, at first, but you will by the end of reading this.
Think of all the types of jewelry you’ve seen adorning someone’s earlobe. We’ll forget about noses, tongues, and other body parts for a minute. You’ve probably seen industrial gauged plugs, cuffs that wrap, and barbells for the punk look. You’ve undoubtedly seen large hoops and vertical labrets. They’re probably very attractive on the people that wear them, but in the end, they are just pieces of jewelry. They look like mere accessories.
What I’ve found, though, is that people (I’m not just talking about girls, so males included) that like to wear screw types are usually a different breed. They’re actually a cut above the rest. What makes them so bold that they’d put a custom screw through the cartilage of their ear? It’s basically a form of body art that I think the other types cannot boast. These are some things that have been my findings.
The worst part, obviously, is when you cannot find the backs to them. That’s almost not a problem when dealing with these, as they do a pretty good job of hooking themselves in. Think of not having to worry when you’re wearing your favorite diamond (or cubic zirconium), sterling silver, gold, or platinum earrings. If you get them in the screw type, you won’t have to. So whether you get them for your children (some people even do for a baby, though it makes no sense to me why an infant or even toddlers would need them), just be thankful that you’re so far ahead of the curve, fashion wise.
